Chenai Gondo is a strategy, transformation and operations leader whose expertise sits at the intersection of real estate and technology. She is a recognised thought leader on the subject of real estate innovation – and is frequently invited to lecture at leading UK universities on the subject. She has been listed as one of Bisnow’s Women Leading Real Estate (“The Strategist”), won the EG Real Estate Digital Rising Star Award and been a finalist for the EG Bridging the Gap in Technology Award. Today, Chenai is the co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Hestia, a startup that uses technology to improve the residential retrofit process. Previously, she has served as a Chief of Staff and member of the Executive Committee at Essensys - an AIM-listed Real Estate Technology Company, as a Senior Strategy Executive and member of the leadership team at British Land - a FTSE-250 listed REIT, and as a Manager at McKinsey and Company - a management consulting firm. She sat on the board of the UK Proptech Association, a not-for-profit membership organisation whose goal is to drive the digital transformation agenda within the property industry. She has also been a startup mentor for accelerator programmes (PiLabs, REACH UK) and worked on the Technology and Innovation Working Group of the British Property Federation. Chenai holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College. an MS from the University of Pennsylvania and PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ). 

Mark is a highly experienced banker having started his career at Barclays in the mid-eighties. He worked in the Barclays specialist property finance team and during his career has written more than £2bn of property transactions across the UK. Mark has also worked at Titlestone Property Finance and at Contour Capital, where he was Managing Director. For the past five years, Mark has been the Managing Director of Beaufort Capital which provides development funding to experienced property developers for any Real Estate asset class anywhere in Great Britain.

Namita joined Davitt Jones Bould as a Partner in 2023 and is a commercial property expert with a social housing sector specialism. Namita’s practice includes investment acquisitions and disposals, development land acquisitions, section 106 purchases of affordable housing, commercial landlord and tenant work and charging and securitisation projects. For the last 4 years, Namita has worked in-house at a registered provider of social housing, leading a property team of 17 people.

Guy has over 25 years’ experience in the residential development, new homes and asset management industry. He joined Urban Splash in September 2015 and is responsible for the development, sales, customer care and asset management areas of the business. Prior to joining Urban Splash, Guy was a Director at King Sturge/ JLL for over 10 years where he established the residential agency business in Leeds in 2004 specialising in development consultancy, land, investment, valuation, development sales, lettings and residential property management.

Andrew, CEO, RAM, has been involved in the UK residential market for over forty years - as agent, property manager, investor and asset manager, culminating in the asset management of over 4000 UK properties.

Alexandra Notay is Placemaking and Investment Director at Thriving Investments, the fund and asset management arm of Places for People Group, overseeing a UK-wide residential strategy. She has worked extensively across four continents and is an internationally recognised expert on housing, placemaking and ESG.

Henry has more than 15 years’ experience in strategic communications within the property sector. He works with developers, investment firms and consultants, using his expertise in messaging, media relations, social media and content to help them achieve their commercial objectives, whether securing new tenants for an office building, attracting investors, increasing deal flow or winning new customers.

Debra is the co-founder of SAY Property, an award-winning consultancy business working with investors and developers to provide strategic operational advice for mixed-use and living assets. Debra has over 25 years’ experience in residential property and is recognised as one of the major contributors to the industry. Before starting SAY with Charles Seifert, Debra was Director of Asset and Property Management at Grainger plc. Debra is an expert in residential property and asset management with a particular focus on Build to Rent, Place Making, Regeneration and industry innovation. Debra has a keen interest in the positive social impact that can be delivered through new development. Debra has been a long-standing advocate for encouraging diversity within the real estate sector.

Susan is a real estate partner at law firm Mishcon de Reya. An experienced real estate lawyer, her in-depth understanding of the property market, the emerging world of tech and her business training as a Sloan Masters MSc (London Business School) graduate, combined with a wide circle of contacts is an effective combination. She is listed in Property Week's Women's Power List, which describes her as "a world-class networker" with "a contact book full of CEOs", In 2021, Susan received an honorary doctorate from the University College of Estate Management (UCEM), in recognition of her contribution to the built environment. Tina Qiu, a Director at PLP Architecture, leads the practice’s studio in Singapore and a growing portfolio of work in South-East Asia. She brings 12 years of expertise to designing and leading commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects across the UK and internationally. Throughout her work, Tina explores ways in which her projects can contribute to the urban realm in an environmentally positive way. Ongoing projects combine active placemaking with initiatives to save embodied carbon through material re-use, the use of hybrid timber structures, and increasing biodiversity. Tina has led the design of projects such as Park Nova, a multi-award winning, biophilic, luxury residential tower under construction in Singapore. In the UK, she regenerated an existing building at into the home of Adidas’ flagship Oxford Street store.

Freddie is the Assistant Fund Manager for the M&G UK Residential Property Fund. Freddie supports the Head of UK and European Living in setting and executing the investment strategy to meet the Fund’s strategic and performance objectives. Freddie oversees the investment managers and asset managers, who are responsible for acquiring, structuring and delivering investment opportunities and actively managing the Fund’s assets including the mobilisation and stabilisation of completed developments.

Prior to his current role, Freddie worked as investment manager in the team for six years. Through his network and broad relationships with agents, investors and developers he has transacted in excess of £800m across the living sector and around half these transactions were within the student housing sector. Freddie joined M&G Real Estate as Graduate Surveyor in September 2013 gaining a broad experience in investment and asset management across M&G Real Estate’s sector focused teams across all sub-sectors of the real estate market. He joined the residential team in 2016 as asset manager.

He is a member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and holds a BSc (Hons) in Investment and Finance in Property from the University of Reading. Freddie specialised in the residential sector during his degree in Investment and Finance in Property.

Jason runs the development team currently responsible for the continued transformation of the 85 acre Wembley Park site. In his role he leads on place making; design; planning; development; commercial leasing and BTR product. He is also the director responsible for new business origination and acquisition. Jason has over 25 years development experience and prior to Quintain he worked at Stanhope plc as Development Director for 11 years actively involved in pre-development, development and new business. At Stanhope, Jason’s focus was on large scale mixed-use regeneration. Prime schemes included the 2 million sq ft Ruskin Square scheme in Croydon in partnership with Schroders and the 1.5 million sq ft Station Hill scheme in Reading with Benson Elliot. Prior to Stanhope he was Development Director at Chelsfield plc, responsible for the regeneration of the 40 acre White City site, now Westfield London, which at the time was the largest new build urban shopping centre in the UK and the largest single institutional forward funded deal in Europe at £1.35Bn. Jason is a chartered engineer and an active committee member of both the British Council of Offices and the British Property Federation.

Neil Young is investment chair at consultancy firm Young. He was previously chief executive at Get Living, a pioneer in build to rent, and started his career working in the hospitality industry with Tui and British Airways. Not many people, especially in real estate, get the chance to be a pioneer in a sector (build to rent) and be chief executive of the market leader (Get Living). I feel very fortunate that for the last decade or so I’ve done this and been able to innovate, challenge the norm and be a little contrary along the way. I’m not one to just settle, so once again am looking for innovation. As head of Addleshaw Goddard Living Sector, Catherine advises on a broad range of real estate transactions for privately-owned development companies, entrepreneurs, PLCs and household names, and has significant experience of acting on residential development schemes. Catherine has a particular focus on the later living market, advising developers on acquisitions and disposals of care homes and senior living sites, as well as issues around pre-lets, forward funding and development financing. Rebecca has 18 years of diverse experience across all real estate sectors. The last 6 years she has had a particular focus on operational residential markets leading on Research for the Living sectors and Hotels at BNP Paribas Real Estate, including Healthcare, Senior Living, Build-to-Rent, and Student Housing. She works closely with the market teams supporting them with research, data trends, analytics and thought pieces. Rebecca trained in the real estate sector at the well-regarded IPD, now MSCI. Rebecca is a member of the Society of Property Researchers.

Dan Batterton is Head of Residential at LGIM Real Assets. Launching the Build to Rent strategy in 2016 the portfolio has grown to over £3.0bn and just under 10,000 apartments in development or in operation spread across the UK. The portfolio is expected to grow to £5bn within 3 years. Dan has over 20 years’ experience in the property sector and his exceptional understanding of portfolio strategy have been utilised to design L&G’s long-term acquisition, development, sustainability and operational strategy for the Residential sector. He leads the specialist BTR team at L&G that is delivering 1,000 new BTR homes per year.

After over 30 years working in the residential development and real estate sectors I am now providing consultancy support to Developers, Housing Associations and Local Authorities. Working in partnership to support on land, planning, regeneration, partnerships, development management, affordable housing, and covering interim assignments.

Olivia was appointed as Chief Executive in April 2017. Previously, Olivia was Finance Director at Dolphin Living, providing financial and commercial oversight on a wide range of property and related projects, including debt and fund raising. Olivia is a Chartered Accountant and has worked for more than 20 years in the property industry. Olivia is a Director of our Registered Provider, a board member of Westminster Community Homes and is past Chair of the Westminster Property Association.

Mark is an Executive Director Chairman of UK Residential for CBRE. Celebrating over 40 years in the property industry, Mark is regarded as a leading figure in London residential, with a wealth of experience and contacts. In June 2013, Mark became a Fellow of the RICS. He is the immediate past Chairman of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Property and Construction Committee. Mark was a Director of Fulham Football Club and was an elected member of the Premier League, as a Football Association Council Member. Mark also sits on the London Mayor’s, Homes for Londoners Board alongside the Mayor himself and in September 2021 was extended for a further 3year term. He became Chairperson of the U.K. ULI Executive Committee and has sat on the ULI European Residential (Affordable) Product Council. He is very focused around promoting diversity and inclusion in the property industry and supports Kings College NHS hospital charity.

Lucy is Chief Operating Officer of Lomond Group with over 25 years’ experience in the residential property sector. Lucy has worked extensively in BTR, Single Family Housing and Portfolio Management as well as holding various senior Operational roles. Prior to joining Lomond, she held various roles with LSL Property Services, most latterly as Operations Director, before joining Knight Frank where she was an Equity Partner at Knight Frank having set up the Investment Lettings and Managed Department as well as being Head of Lettings Operations.

With a focus on the UK’s Land and Development Living sector Thomas has 20 years of experience in the industry having gained a significant element of this as a subsidiary Board Director of an award winning developer prior to undertaking a number of strategic and Capital Markets roles at JLL. Most recently roles at JLL have covered Head of Partnerships, a Senior Director of the London Living Land business providing advisory and brokerage services in the EMEA UK Capital Markets business. The positions held at JLL have enabled transaction and advisory roles on significant London developments and the repurposing of multi sector uses to desirable, sustainable and award winning Living led developments

Lauren Atkins is Managing Director of The Malins Group, an award-winning aggregate of private property companies and trusts, owned and controlled by the Atkins Family. With Rightmove for over a decade, Tim runs the company’s data services, deploying analytics to generate insights that enable customers to make good decisions quickly. He has a background in investment banking and management consultancy, and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, USA.

Arianna is a Project Director working on British Land’s 53-acre, Canada Water regeneration project. Prior to that Arianna worked as a development lead on landmark super prime residential scheme Clarges Mayfair and she was involved in the completion and launch of another British Land prime residential scheme, Hempel Gardens. Before joining British Land in 2014, Arianna got an MBA degree at London Business School in London after working for 4 years as an architect for award winning practice Allies and Morrison Architects.

Charlotte and her team have been entrusted by their clients to deliver advisory and consultancy services on over 100 residential-led developments across the UK and abroad in all asset classes, from Student through to Later Living. Mark Quinn has redefined what it is to be a developer. He has pioneered the delivery of major community gains, making development a force for good. LJ is currently the Director of Operations at Outpost Management, a residential asset management platform currently managing over £1bn of real estate. With over ten years of operations experience across asset classes, LJ's current portfolio includes the world's largest co-living scheme, as well as London's most premium rented BTR development. LJ has worked for the likes of Greystar, Society, and various institutional PBSA providers. LJ holds an MSt. in U.S History from Oxford University.

John German is a Managing Director in the Alternative Investment Team at Invesco Real Estate (IRE). John is responsible for spearheading the firm’s European residential expertise and investments in Europe for global institutional investors and for assisting in the development of strategies within the alternatives sectors. Since his arrival at Invesco Real Estate, the firm has concluded several European residential investments and student in the UK, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, France, Ireland, Denmark Italy and the Czech Republic. This is building on IRE’s existing expertise in the multi-family sector in the US and Asia where IRE has over 30 years’ experience. It is one of few real estate managers able to offer global residential expertise. John began his investment career in 1987 and joined Invesco Real Estate in 2013. Prior to joining Invesco, he spent 12 years at Grosvenor, where he was the head of residential strategy and was previously at Aberdeen Property Investors as director of residential fund management. In these roles, John raised, invested and managed c.€200m in two residential funds on behalf of UK and European institutional investors. John has over 36 years’ residential industry experience covering transactions, developments, valuations as well as asset and property management on behalf of institutional investors. He is also skilled in investment in the wider universe of the student and serviced apartment sectors. John earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Rural Land Management and is a member of the British Property Federation (BPF) Residential Committee. At Invesco Real Estate. He is based in London.

Sean is passionate about real estate development with an open and honest approach underpinned by a commitment to genuine collaboration and creative problem solving. In the past 27 years he has accumulated extensive experience in Design, Development and Project Management across multiple sectors and asset classes having held a number of senior and executive management positions in both Client Developer, Family Office and Global consultancies.

Vivienne is the Head of Real Estate at The Good Economy (TGE). She has held leadership positions in real estate for more than 30 years having worked in urban development, regeneration and management, joint venture partnerships, strategy development and ESG. With a strong track record advocating for environmental and social sustainability, she is now focused on supporting real estate businesses achieve their social impact ambitions. Prior to joining TGE, Vivienne was the CEO of Revo, a retail property trade association, where she pivoted the business to handle the economic shock of lockdowns and worked with Government to secure a fair deal for property owners, whilst also leading the development of tools to equip the industry to meet accelerating change, including Revo’s social value framework. She also served as the CEO of Soho Housing Association which provides affordable homes and supports local needs in London’s West End. In her four years there she led approximately £30 million in urban investment and development transactions and played a key role shaping sustainable growth through stakeholder engagement at the community level. Over 20 years of Vivienne’s career was in £14 billion institutional real estate investor, the Crown Estate where she was a member of the executive committee. During this time she was responsible for leadership of its corporate ESG strategy and its innovative measurement tool – Total Contribution. She also oversaw the Scottish business, leading its de-merger to the Scottish Government, and was a key contributor to the growth of the Crown’s indirect investment portfolio, now worth £1.3 billion. Vivienne is a co-founder of Real Estate Balance and continues to work with industry leaders to drive cultural change and improve equality, diversity and inclusion in real estate. Vivienne was inducted into the Property Week Hall of Fame in 2023 for her work for the real estate industry.

Neil is a Founding Director of Cast and has 22-years’ experience within the Construction Industry working with many leading developers, housebuilders and contractors in the residential market. Neil has successfully delivered many projects over the course of his career – including major urban regeneration, strategic land, build to rent, later living, student accommodation, co-living, for-sale residential and commercial offices. Neil has personal involvement across Cast’s portfolio of projects including leading on feasibility & viability setting, establishing core strategy, vetting cost outputs, leading procurement, contract negotiation and service quality assurance. Jacqui is a Director in Savills Residential Research & Consultancy team. She joined Savills in 2006 to advise large scale investors and pension funds on opportunities in the residential and student space. She works with a team of brilliant analysts to support investors with their investment strategies, housing need assessments and local market research for individual developments. She is Vice Chair of the British Property Federation’s Residential Policy Committee where she is actively involved in the housing policy debate.

Richard is a leading property industry figure best known for delivering insight and strategic advice on the residential and mortgage markets. He runs thought leadership at Houseful, the leading software, data and insight business in residential property. Houseful is a £200m turnover, 600 person business that owns and operates market-leading brands including Zoopla, Alto, Hometrack, PrimeLocation and Mojo mortgages.

Rebecca is a well-respected Building Surveyor with over 20 years’ experience in the property industry. She has previously worked at established surveying brands such as Colliers International and MDA Consulting Ltd. providing advice on countless commercial and residential schemes. Rebecca is currently Director of Portfolio Management at Atelier troubleshooting issues within the loan book and ensuring timely loan redemptions.’

Steve is an experienced development consultant & land agent having held senior positions throughout his career with extensive knowledge within London and the Southeast. Steve has a focus in development and planning and has over 20 years’ experience in UK real estate having advised several clients, including pension funds, institutions, PLCs, charities, public sector bodies and individual landowners, on how to maximise the value of their assets.

Nick is an Architect and Board Director at Whittam Cox Architects. With a career spanning over 27 years, his expertise lies in collaborating closely with clients in the regeneration of urban areas and the creation of sustainable environments. He has a particularly strong interest in the continual evolution of student living design and the maturing Built to Rent sector. His knowledge of multi-generational rental living brings a unique, invaluable and often innovative approach to projects, to ensure maximum value is achieved for his clients throughout all aspects of the design and construction process. Nick is a strong advocate of sustainability and MMC. He is a Trustee for MOBIE (Ministry of Building Innovation and Education), an education charity set up by TV Architect George Clarke. His current projects include Brent Cross Town and a new Student Village at Royal Holloway, University of London.
