Lauren Atkins is Managing Director of The Malins Group, an award-winning aggregate of private property companies and trusts, owned and controlled by the Atkins Family.
Founded in 1972 by Malcom Atkins, with Lauren taking over as MD in 2008, this second-generation privately owned family business, operational for over 50 years, has a portfolio of circa 750 units and asset value over £120 million.
Under Lauren’s leadership, the Group has established itself as a leading multi- disciplinary developer and propco covering London, the South East and South West. Lauren focuses on the company’s long-term investment and short-term re-positioning strategy; where value can be added through development, regeneration and active management. She drives growth via acquisition and development, across both business divisions, with a passion for design, architecture, and planning.
Before joining the family company, Lauren held senior leadership positions at blue-chip companies in Switzerland, New York and the City of London. She is a councillor on Waverley Borough Council in Surrey and the patron of Portsmouth-based charity Aurora New Dawn, which provides support to survivors of domestic abuse.
