Chenai Gondo is a strategy, transformation and operations leader whose expertise sits at the intersection of real estate and technology.
She is a recognised thought leader on the subject of real estate innovation – and is frequently invited to lecture at leading UK universities on the subject. She has been listed as one of Bisnow’s Women Leading Real Estate (“The Strategist”), won the EG Real Estate Digital Rising Star Award and been a finalist for the EG Bridging the Gap in Technology Award.
Today, Chenai is the co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Hestia, a startup that uses technology to improve the residential retrofit process.
Previously, she has served as a Chief of Staff and member of the Executive Committee at Essensys - an AIM-listed Real Estate Technology Company, as a Senior Strategy Executive and member of the leadership team at British Land - a FTSE-250 listed REIT, and as a Manager at McKinsey and Company - a management consulting firm. She sat on the board of the UK Proptech Association, a not-for-profit membership organisation whose goal is to drive the digital transformation agenda within the property industry. She has also been a startup mentor for accelerator programmes (PiLabs, REACH UK) and worked on the Technology and Innovation Working Group of the British Property Federation.
Chenai holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College. an MS from the University of Pennsylvania and PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ).
